Can I join with no DJ experience?
Absolutely. Group courses are for complete beginners: everyone starts from zero, with no prior preparation needed. Individual lessons welcome beginners and students with DJ experience — select your level when you apply.
Do I need my own equipment?
No. All the equipment you need for the lessons is provided. You don’t need to buy or bring any additional equipment to get started.
How long is the course?
Both formats include 6 lessons, held once a week. Group sessions last 80 minutes and have 3 students. Individual lessons are one-to-one and last 60 minutes.
How do I pay? Can I split the cost?
Payment is by Zelle or Venmo, arranged directly with Tony. You can pay for the full course or in two blocks of 3 lessons: two payments of $300 per person for the group course, or two payments of $450 for the individual course.
When can I start?
A group starts once all 3 places are filled. This may take around 1–2 weeks, depending on enrollment and matching schedules. Individual lessons can start without waiting for a group, as soon as you and Tony agree on a time.
What happens after I apply?
Tony will contact you personally to discuss your availability and arrange your lessons. The days and times you select are preferences, not a confirmed booking.
What if I miss a lesson or need to reschedule?
Regular attendance is recommended. If you miss one group lesson, one 30-minute catch-up session is included to help you cover what you missed. Arrange it directly with Tony. Individual lessons can be rescheduled with at least 24 hours’ notice.
What will I leave the course with?
A foundation in mixing and using hot cues, loops and effects, plus your own recorded mix to share with friends and on social media. After the course, a practice session at the coffee shop is also included — you can invite friends and play for them.
